Thank you Robin Williams for being the best nanny, the best genie, the best Peter Pan, the best teacher who made us want to read poetry, radio announcer, LGBTQ character, the best board game player and the best comedian. You made us laugh. You made us cry. You inspired. Thank you.

Here’s a hug from me to everyone who needs it right now

So when Aladdin releases from the vault next year expect the end credits to say “To our dear friend, Robin Williams”

rightfully so <3

How do you cope when someone you’ve never met but immortalized passes? How do you thank someone for shaping your childhood when they leave this Earth before you had the chance to say something?

Thank you so much, Robin Williams. For everything. And may you find the peace and happiness wherever you are.

“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

Scott Weinger is the voice of Aladdin.

I would like to hope Williams’ family will be able to find some solace in how many lives he has been able to touch and bring joy into. To smile, to laugh, to learn. That so many people will look back fondly have been changed for the better by his movies even in the smallest of ways and that so many people will grieve both for and with them.

I think the fact that nearly every single post on my dash is about Robin Williams is a testament to how great of an actor he was and shows just how many people he inspired/how many people loved him and his work.
